The African Studies Program has opened a supplemental Academic Year 2023-2024 Foreign Language & Area Studies (FLAS) competition for University of Wisconsin-Madison undergraduate students.Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, enrolled in full-time study for the duration of the award, and take one of the approved AY regional languages in both fall 2023 and spring 2024, plus an area studies class each semester. Academic year undergraduate FLAS fellows receive up to $5,000 towards tuition each semester and a $5,000 stipend.The deadline to submit an application is 11:59 pm, Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
